Keep Climbing
In 2019, Delta's Keep Climbing crossed Mexico City and Kuala Lumpur before high-end commercial FPV had an established workflow to follow.
For Somesuch, director Daniel Wolfe and cinematographer Monika Lenczewska, Andriu FPV helped build that workflow from first principles—platforms, safety, communication and camera grammar—across streets, interiors and places of worship on two continents.
In 2019 there was no established high-end FPV advertising workflow to copy. The production crossed two major cities on two continents and moved through interiors, streets and culturally significant buildings including churches, synagogues and mosques. Flights entered and exited buildings, transitioned between confined and open spaces and had to meet commercial production standards using a camera language that was still being invented.
We developed the operating method from first principles: platform configuration, safety procedures, communication and the relationship between FPV movement and conventional production coverage. Rather than hiding the limitations of early technology, we used its agility to create a new immersive grammar. The project became a genuine milestone in bringing FPV out of hobby imagery and into global advertising.
