Sometimes the smaller camera is the compromise.

Heavy-lift keeps the aerial unit inside the same visual world as the main unit. Same sensor character. The lens you chose. The filtration and colour decisions already made for the film.

It also asks more from the day. More weight means different flight time, crew, wind limits and operating space. We build the package with the DP, test it properly and only use it when the image justifies it.

What you can do with it

Fly the real package

Selected RED and ARRI-class cameras with production lens options.

Keep control of the frame

A dedicated operator composes independently from the aircraft.

Stay with the main unit

Sensor, lens, filtration and colour remain part of the same camera plan.

Use it when it matters

Heavy-lift for the shots that earn the weight, crew and flight window.

On set

For features, episodic, premium commercials and automotive work where matching the main unit matters more than travelling light. Call early. Heavy-lift rewards decisions made before call time.

How we get there

  1. 01

    Start with the picture

Sensor, lens, filters, wireless and movement define the package.

  2. 02

    Make the package fly

Weight, balance, endurance and location limits shape the platform.

  3. 03

    Test the exact build

The full payload is assembled, balanced and flown before the shoot.

  4. 04

    Be ready for the window

On set, the flight team handles the checks so the take is ready when production is.

Before you ask

Which cameras can you carry?

Selected RED and ARRI-class packages. Camera, lens, gimbal and wireless are assessed as one build, because that is how they fly.

Why not use an Inspire 3?

Use it when it gives you the image. Choose heavy-lift when a specific sensor, lens or main-unit match matters more.

Does it need more preparation?

Yes. The payload needs engineering and flight testing, and the operation needs more crew and space. That work happens before the shoot.

What are we solving next?

Send us the boards, the location and the shot you need. We will recommend the right setup and the most effective way to get it.
