S-Class

The road was narrow and enclosed by dense trees, yet the shots demanded very low, fast tracking around the S-Class and reveals that appeared to emerge from inside the forest. The usable flight corridor was at times barely two metres wide, and the framing had to remain premium rather than merely aggressive. Several lines were technically unusual for automotive advertising at the time and required the drone to use gaps in the trees that a traditional camera system could never access.

We treated the forest as a three-dimensional camera track, scouting exact entrances, exits and emergency routes before committing to speed. The variable Tokina lens helped adapt framing while the FPV platform supplied the impossible movement. The finished lines combined proximity, elegance and a sense of discovery, rather than simply following the vehicle from above.
