Acqua Panna crossed seven Tuscan settings in a week, from a water-filled cave and rivers to mountain villages, old streets, homes and dining scenes.

For The Family, director Martin Werner and cinematographer Ottar Gudnason, Andriu FPV changed platform behaviour and lens scale from place to place while preserving one continuous journey through spaces that would normally demand several camera systems.

The Challenge

The production covered seven distinct types of environment across roughly a week of shooting: a water-filled cave, rivers, mountain villages, ancient streets, cypress roads, homes and dining scenes with performers. Every location changed the available space, light, sound, risk and interaction with water or people. The challenge was to make the movement feel like one coherent journey through Tuscany rather than a collection of unrelated drone shots.

Our Approach

We adapted the FPV configuration and lens choice to each environment, moving from expansive landscape lines to controlled interior passes. Careful scouting and communication with talent allowed the camera to enter intimate spaces without breaking the natural rhythm of the scenes. The result was a continuous, immersive perspective across locations that would normally require several different camera systems.
