A circuit shoot with no recce and a radio link that only covered part of the track. The flying envelope was decided on the day, and the shot list was built inside it.
Working within the reachable zone rather than against it produced passes that used the geometry of the corners we could reach. Several of them made the final film.
A track day at Circuito de Jerez with no recce beforehand, which for a circuit shoot means arriving blind to a five-kilometre layout. Logistics then forced the whole aerial unit to operate from a single area, and from there the radio link did not reach cleanly across the full circuit. The usable flying envelope was a fraction of the track, decided on the spot.
We mapped the reachable envelope first and then designed the shots inside it, instead of chasing the car around a layout the link could not follow. Every pass was planned as a complete move within that zone, using the geometry of the corners we could actually reach. The constraint set the shot list, and the sequences that came out of it still cut into the film.
